Death | Laura H Phinney died on 4 December 2004 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California, at age 95; Her obituary said "She was born Oct. 11, 1909, in Bradley, Ill. Her family lived in Red Key, Ind., until Laura was six and then moved to Garden City, Kan., where she grew up. Laura lived for short periods of time in Denver and Arizona before moving to Glenwood Springs, where she spent the remainder of her life.
While living in Glenwood, she married John R. Anderson and is survived in this marriage by their son, Jerry A. Anderson, his wife, Heather, and their two children, Miles and Mindy.
Several years after John died, Laura married Warren (Nord) A. Nordhausen who preceded her in death. From this marriage, she is survived by Lloyd J. Nordhausen, his wife, Barbara, their two children, Craig and Amy, and their families, and Carole L. Brown (Nordhausen) and her daughter, Dendy.
Laura worked for several years at the Glenwood Springs Chamber of Commerce Information Center and in an ophthalmologist's office. She also worked in three different dental offices, and what was the First National Bank of Glenwood. Laura loved fast red cars, horses, books and conversations over a good cup of coffee."1 |
